More About Me

Meet Kay

I have made Portland & Vancouver my home since 1969. I love The Pacific Northwest and what it has to offer those who make it their home. My love of people and their needs was surely realized having opened, and owned a well-respected bed and breakfast, The Lion and The Rose Bed & Breakfast in Portland. I opened the bed and breakfast to provide a safe place for those who travel and wanted a more personable place to spend their time while visiting.

My volunteer work in the community allowed me to find my love in land use laws, home restoration in leading The Irvington Home Tour committee for many years and serving as the Irvington HOA President for 2 years, helping neighbors form an amazing neighborhood in a fast-changing community. Taking care of others and trying to exceed their expectations in my Bed and Breakfast helped set standards that had never been addressed before in the hospitality industry.

My previous career as fabric buyer for a large chain of Northwest Fabric Stores, prior to opening the bed and breakfast, built a foundation for my love of Home Decor, customer service and the importance of the details. I took that love and knowledge and transformed a 100-year-old, 10,000 sq. Ft. mansion, into a home that welcomed travelers and wrapped its arms around you when you arrived. Our success was based on my attention to the details, and the service we provided our guest. What an amazing part of my journey to now being a real estate broker for the BEST Real Estate Brokerage in the Northwest. My commitment to my real estate business has allowed me to stand alongside the Top Producers in our company for many years.

There is no doubt my love of homes and people has served me well in my real estate business. Seeing a homeowner able to sell their home and move on to a new town or new home, fills my heart with joy as they pass their home on to the next family who will love and care for it as they have. Helping the first-time home buyer be able to see their dreams come true in owning their first home, helping our military members find or sell their homes, is an honor I take very seriously, as I respect their commitment and sacrifice for our country.

I feel blessed and extremely grateful to be able to do what I love to do every day. I am honored to help those who find their way to me, and I plan on being a friend for many years to come.
